What to Bring to the Dealership

          FOR MARYLAND RESIDENTS         

• Identification: A valid, plastic state-issued Driver's License.

• Insurance: A valid insurance card. (Note: You will need to add the new vehicle to your policy before driving off the lot-our team can help you with this!)

• Trade-In Paperwork:

  • Valid Trade Registration.

  • Original Trade Title. Important: If you are from a two-title state like Maryland, please ensure you have both documents.

  • Lien/Payoff information (if applicable).

• Signatories: All parties on the contract and trade documents must be present at the time of signing.

• Business Purchases: Same as above (Tax ID/EIN, Letter of Authorization, and Business Insurance).

        IMPORTANT FOR EVERYONE        

• All Signers Must Be Present: Anyone listed on the trade-in title or the new purchase contract must be here in person with their ID.

• Method of Payment: Personal/Certified checks made out to the specific dealership. For debit cards, please call your bank to raise your daily limit-most have a $500-$2,500 cap that can block a down payment.

• Trade-In Keys: Please bring all sets of keys and remotes for your trade.

         METHOD OF PAYMENT           

• Checks: All personal or certified checks must be made out to the specific dealership (e.g., Thomas Cumberland Subaru or Thomas Buick GMC). We cannot accept 3rd party checks.

• Debit Cards: If you plan to use a debit card for a down payment, please contact your bank in advance to increase your daily spending limit.

• Wire Transfers: Funds must be received in the dealership account prior to vehicle pickup.
